This is a very good traditional hotel which has been modernised to a high standard and has an excellent central location.

This hotel enjoys a good location in the heart of Riga's old town, close to the national opera and the freedom monument. The airport is a 20 min drive, and there are many good transport links within walking of the hotel.

The lobby is medium, with a very high ceiling. The decor sets the tone for the rest of the hotel and is extremely elegant. There is a two-tone marble floor, red leather seating and a light wood and gold brass reception desk.

It is a traditional stone building, with a renovated cream and dark facade which looks very grand and inspiring.

The new main restaurant is on an upper level and is a more simply- designed room, with contrasting light and dark woods and fabrics. It serves food to a very high standard.

Standard: Bedrooms are medium-sized on average and are in very good condition. They follow the same traditional design as the rest of the hotel, with paintings and classy furnishings complementing the existing fittings.
