The Westin is positioned in the centre of the city, opposite Trinity College, on the corner of College Street and Westmoreland Street, directly opposite Temple Bar.

The lobby is grand and impressive with opulent marble pillars and tall mahogany doorways. Open fireplaces add a traditional warm welcome.

Opened in September 2001 in the buildings formerly occupied by the Allied Irish Bank and Pearl buildings dating from 1863, the hotel has restored the buildings to their former splendour.

The Exchange, the hotel's main restaurant, is light and airy and the decor is dinstinctly 1930's art deco, in contrast to the traditional opulence of the hotel. The cuisine is modern international using Irish ingredients. The Atrium Lounge is a unique feature with its palm trees and glass roof offering an elegant oasis in the middle of the bustle of Dublin city centre. There is a bar which offers an intimate surrounding amongst the nooks and crannies of the old banking vaults. Order a drink or bar food over the old serving counter, surrounded by slate flooring and dark wood panelling.
