This is a welcoming hotel which offers high standard of accommodation in an appealing location.

The Riekonlinna hotel stands in the centre of the tiny village of Saariselka, in a raised position offering lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

Although the lobby area is small, the pine and pastel shades with which it is decorated emit a bright and airy atmosphere. There is limited seating in the adjacent hotel bar which also features a roaring log fire.

It has been constructed using modern materials, although the design still retains a traditional look, being best described as chalet style in architecture.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor just off the lobby. It is a large room decorated mainly in pink with rustic-style pine furniture. There is normally a large and sumptuous buffet.

Standard: Hotel bedrooms are medium sized, designed in typical modern Scandinavian style and are in good condition. Rooms to the rear of the hotel have balconies that overlook a scenic pineforest. Blue and light pine, bright curtains of northern lights colours, large picture frames.
