The hotel is located a few minutes' walk from JR Shinagawa station, one of the major stations in Tokyo which has a stop for the Bullet train (Shinkansen) and several underground lines making it easy for the visitor to move around the city. Both Narita and Haneda International Airports can be easily accessed. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus service to and from Shinagawa station. The surrounding area has a variety of shops and restaurants.

Being extremely large and wide, it gives the guest a spacious and welcoming atmosphere and is one of the largest hotel lobbies in Tokyo, being 2 floors high. There is also a lounge leading on from the reception, which gives beautiful views of the Japanese gardens and a quiet space for guests to enjoy.

The exterior of the hotel is modern and distinctive, being designed by the architect Mr. Togo Murano, a member of the Japanese Art Academy. The building is completely white with distinctive balcony curves from each room, adding to the unique design to the building and is easily recognised.

There are over twenty restaurants, bars, and lounges in the hotel complex, offering a range of international cuisine from Japanese, French, Italian, and Chinese. There is also a Japanese teahouse, situated in the middle of a Japanese garden, which serves traditional Japanese cuisine.
